It's been a long time coming - but Lost In Sunshine's producer, Lorie's in town again - yay!!!

Yesterday, me and Lorie met with our art director, Ia, director of photography, Iskra, editor, Nevie, line producer/1st AD, Michelle, and our dear filmmaker friend, Kat Candler in Kat's north central office and talked for about 3 fun hours....

Lost In Sunshine Hustle

In the next few months of pre-pro we are BUSY dancing bees! Just to give you an idea of the film challenges we're facing - we've got locations to scout, storyboards to draw, multiple jobs to juggle in between, and investors to solidify. We've got websites to build, audience -specific research to continue, music to entertain, important casting to conquer, test shots to contemplate, and mountains to climb....

Indie Producing at its finest.

Our first production meeting with Laura, Michelle, myself and Lorie took place this afternoon in my living room. We all sat perched on my sectional with our ears gravitating towards my pink cell phone on speaker, awaiting Lorie's next words. I have to say, it wasn't fancy, but it was priceless. We were real, talented filmmakers tossing around sophisticated subject matter with clever ideas, hovering around a cell phone - indie style....

Scouting for a locations manager!

Ah, the scouting continues...

Things are moving along fabulously well, I'm insanely excited, but we still need a professional locations manager on board. I sent out a listing on Dan's email list (the one I told you about in my producer blog) and got an overwhelmingly wonderful response, which lead to an extra large bowl full of inbox possibilities... yet once again...
